No Child Left InsideĀ® Library Pass

2021/2022 No Child Left Inside®  CT State Parks' Centers and Historic Buildings Day Pass Will Soon Be Available at Your Local Library!

The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has again partnered with the Connecticut Library Consortium to provide CT State Parks' Centers and Historic Buildings Day Passes at the main library branch for each Connecticut town. Connecticut residents in a Connecticut registered vehicle are no longer required to pay a parking fee at state parks and forests.

However,  there are still entrance fees to the museums and historical buildings at Dinosaur State Park in Rocky Hill, Gillette Castle State Park in East Haddam and Fort Trumbull State Park and Visitor Center in New London. This day pass, valid from October 4, 2021 though December 31, 2022 waives entrance fees for the center or historic building for two adults and up to 4 children ages 12 and under.   This CT State Parks' Centers and Historic Building Day Passes cannot be used for camping or special events.

Be sure to visit the website of the park or center/museum mentioned above prior to visiting to ensure the location is open and to get directions.

Please note:  The Fort Trumbull State Park Visitor Center and Fort are closed for the season.

Gillette Castle State Park Holiday Programs begin Friday 11/26/21 and will be held on Saturdays and Sundays only through 12/19/21 (begins at 10 am and last ticket sold at 4 pm).  Tickets are available online in advance through Reserve America: Tour Detail - Gillette Castle State Park Tours, Gillette Castle State Park Tours , Connecticut - ReserveAmerica
